Why is my computer running so slow$%: If you are reading this, then you are experiencing what many other are also: a slow computer. You are probably waiting on programs to load, or start up, or waiting on the cursor to catch up with your typing. There is nothing more annoying than when you click on a button, or icon, and you must wait for the computer to actually perform the function you are asking it to do. If you ask some people what the problem might be, they will tell you to increase the size of your memory. While that may work, I would use that as a last result. I will give the first thing I would check, and fix, before you start upgrading your computer parts.
The way your computer works is when you click on a button, the button sends the computer to the program. The program will read something called the registry keys to determine how best to run the program. Now, registry keys are not talked about much in the world of computers. But they are the main culprit for slow running computers. So, the registry keys are deciding how the computer should start up programs. Well, if the registry keys are bad, missing, corrupt, shared, missing short cuts, or many other things, your computer will run slow. It will not know hoe to start up the program, or do certain functions of the program. We need to fix these, and then your computer will run at full speed again, just like when you first bought it.
